The truth is that no marriage is perfect. Every couple is working toward perfection. Let us use your lawn as an example. If you want the lawn in your yard to look neat and well kept, you must be committed to watering it as required. Same with your marriage, you have to be committed to it and water it as needed.

Your neighbor that has good grass is doing something that you are not doing. Be honest and open your eye to see what your marriage is lacking. Please do not ignore what your marriage needs in other for it to remain green. Water your marriage with lots of intentional action and prayers.

Don't forget that it takes time to build a lasting and beautiful home, so, don't be in a rush, don't compare; focus and keep on building your marriage.

Proverbs 14:1 says a wise woman builds her marriage, but the foolish one tears hers down with her own hands. Water your marriage with positive action and positive confession.

Do the following to keep your marriage green:

  • Set a good foundation
  • Learn and understand your spouse
  • Be determine to put in the work and clean up any mess you noticed along your marital journey
  • Read the instruction that God gave about marriage in the Bible
  • Never settle for divorce
  • Set a good example for your children
  • Leave room for growth, don't make a big deal out of every issue.
  • Have an improvement mentality.

Enjoy your marital journey intentionally!
